Music and Drinks with Manny
So you will in Cancun on a Friday night, and you would like to go
out at night and have some fun? Do you rather spend time at some
real local bars packed with locals, or do you rather spend your night
at some touristy bars packed with tourists?
If you rather spend the night with other tourists then just ask your hotel concierge for advice, as they will be more than willing to make suggestions for you, and offer you “all you can drink” passes for different bars and night clubs in the hotel zone.
Now, if you rather spend the night at true local bars listening to live music and taking in the Mexican culture, this is the tour you are looking for.
The tour is hosted by Cancun Manny. The tour includes transportation from/to your accommodations in Cancun and a visit to two local, non touristy bars in downtown Cancun.
The first spot we would visit would be Roots Jazz Club (www.RootsJazzClub.com). It is the only Jazz club I know off in Cancun. What makes this place special is that it is the meeting spot for local and international artists and musicians who live and work in Cancun. They play live music, and the shows change weekly. Although it is relatively close to the Hotel zone, tourist seldom walk in on their own.
The second bar we would visit would be Los Arcos on Yaxchilan street (http://www.losarcoscancun.com.mx/). This is my favorite spot to enjoy cold beers since they play live rock. They play a mix of both spanish and english rock. They have full bar service, and often have a 2 for one special. If you get the munchies, they do have a full menu of classic Mexican dishes at reasonable prices.
Cost of the tour is $40 USD per person

You would be responsible for the additional drinks and food that you order, plus tips/gratuity for the waiters, host and the driver.
Roots Jazz Club accepts cash and Visa/Mastercard. Los Arcos accepts cash, American Express and Visa/Mastercard. They do accept US dollars, but at a low exchange rate so we suggest you exchange some dollars into pesos prior to the tour.
This is an adults (18 +) only tour.
Music and Drinks with Manny will run on Friday nights only. Pickups will be scheduled between 9:00pm and 9:30pm, and drop offs will be done between 2:30am and 3:00am.
If interested in booking send us an email to Drinks@CancunWithMe.com and we would reply with instructions on how to book. We would require a $20 deposit per person paid via paypal, and the balance would be due in cash the day of the tour. We will cap the tour at 12 participants, so we do encourage you to book early.

- A host that would be with you and help you translate since both of these spots don't have English speaking staff.
